A collection of poetry collections featuring fantastic poetry by writer Yoko Fuyuki on the pictures of Kenji Mera, a popular cat painter who captures the various expressions of cats.

Pieces of Paradise have evolved over the course of nearly 30 years.

*Kenji Mera

A cat painter.

Born in Katsuura City, Chiba Prefecture, he lives in Sodegaura City, Chiba Prefecture. He has painted over 2000 cats to date. Every year he holds a solo exhibition in various places. He also holds classes to draw cats at about 20 places, including a culture center in Tokyo. In recent years, he has also held Kyogen and musical kamishibai performances in various places. Participating artist of Tsuburaya Productions Creative Jam (TCJ).

Major publications include "Nyantafe Cat Ukiyo-e "The Strongest Cat Doll Series" Collection", "Melano Fermera X/35+", "Melano Japanesque", "MELANO MUSEUM ~ Grand Duchy of Italy, Collection of Cat Masterpieces" (Atelier Third), "Let's draw my cat with a new edition of colored pencils" (Nichibo Publishing). In April 2016, he played the role of a goat grandfather in the stage play "Lolo and Rele no Hoshi no Hana".

Youko Fuyuki

She has been writing poetry since she was a student, and when she was in high school, her submitted work was selected by Mr. Gozo Yoshimasu for a study magazine. She has also been published in the magazine Poetry and Marchen.

In 2000, she won the 4th grand prize at the Educational Research Institute (currently Wao Corporation) Creative Fantasy Grand Prize for her fantasy novel "Traveler of Golden Light Moon".

In 2017, she published “Mr. Librarian and Tantei-san: Kiso is for me and my dog” (Mynavi Publishing Fan Bunko).

She loves books, cats, flowers and chocolate.
