Ken Nikai "THE BLACK OPAL"

==Photo Picture Book of Darkness==

The story of a pair of royal sisters and an ominous black opal.

~~~~~~
Black opals were once associated with famine and the Black Death.
It was believed that an opal's color was most vibrant when its owner was on the brink of death, and that its brilliance faded once the owner passed away.
The story of two royal sisters at the mercy of this ominous stone...
~~~~~~~

This is a visual Gothic novel, photographed in an ancient French castle!

Ken Nika skillfully processes and composites his own photographs to create never-before-seen worlds.

This commemorative 10th photo book is the culmination of his work!

Welcome to a dark world of stories.

Ken Nikai has directed films such as "Soundtrack" (starring Kou Shibasaki and SUGIZO), "Waning Moon: Last Quarter" (based on a story by Ai Yazawa and starring Chiaki Kuriyama), and the world's first official animation adaptation of Belgian children's book "Unjour" (music by Ryuichi Sakamoto) by G. Vincent. He is also a creator whose work includes music videos for L'Arc-en-Ciel, HYDE, VAMPS, and Halloween Junky Orchestra, as well as the art collection "Dead Hours Museum."
