Since his first solo exhibition in 1988, Takashi Kitami has presented numerous paintings and three-dimensional works.

Works filled with fantastical beauty are highly popular.

On the other hand, he has also worked on the design and design of books for many years, and has decorated the covers of numerous books by Jiro Akagawa, Yasumi Tsuhara, Shoji Shimada, Hiroko Minagawa, and Umberto Eco.

In this collection of works, Kitami's "book art" works, which are particular about books, and related paintings and three-dimensional works are divided into two chapters, "Alice in the Land of Books" and "Natural History". bottom!

I have been experimenting with turning old and unnecessary books into works for quite some time, but this is the first time that I have presented them in such a cohesive form.
