●Kenji Mera

A cat painter.

Born in Katsuura City, Chiba Prefecture, he lives in Sodegaura City, Chiba Prefecture. He has painted over 2000 cats to date. He holds solo exhibitions in various places every year. He also holds classes to draw cats at about 20 places, including a culture center in Tokyo. In recent years, he has also held Kyogen and musical kamishibai performances in various places. Participating artist of Tsuburaya Productions Creative Jam (TCJ).

Main publications include "Melano Japanesque - MELANO MUSEUM collection", "MELANO MUSEUM - Grand Duchy of Italy, Collection of Cat Masterpieces" (Atelier 3rd), "Lovely Dogs and Cats Coloring", and "My Cat with New Colored Pencils". Let's draw" and "Let's draw our dog with colored pencils" (Nichibo Publishing). In April 2016, he played the role of a goat grandfather in the stage play "Lolo and Rele no Hoshi no Hana".
