Ken'ichi Murata "Yoimachi-Hime in the thirteenth night"
A dream scene and a childhood memory.
13 secret nights where Eros and Thanatos intersect.
The origin of Kenichi Murata, a forbidden hand-colored photo book!
I saw myself in the girls in the film and enjoyed feeling accepted as a woman.
--Tama (girlish watercolor painter)
=====
“Fear of death” lies darkly at the core of my work.
Excessive eros has a good affinity with death.
Working on the theme of Eros and Thanatos gave me an improvement in the "image of death".
In this way, he continued to draw Eros as a religious painting of "self-education" for self-salvation, imitating animism.
The works recorded here are works from the period 2005-2013, which is exactly the era of “self-education”.
--Kenichi Murata
=====
A number of works that express forbidden erotic fantasies like peering into secret rituals in another world, unlike digital photography.
The hand-colored photographs are organized into 13 stories, each of which is a collection of photographs that Murata's unique world view is condensed with a small story written by Murata, such as a dream he saw and an essay.
